While sequence and integrity are critical for the success of an RNA product, purity from endotoxin, double stranded RNA (dsRNA), DNA, and proteins are important factors for in vivo studies. As endotoxin and dsRNA are major immunostimulatory molecules, their role can range from beneficial to detrimental: from completely silencing translation to acting as an adjuvant for vaccines. Research groups embarking on drug development must be aware of the levels of such contaminants to ensure they are best prepared for success and effectively reproduce their success.
Ultra-high resolution RNA capillary electrophoresis analysis is available as a service. Details for internal UBC partners can be found here. External partners please inquire for more information and pricing here.
